Candela laser hair removal on dark skin12/10/2023 I did get laser hair removal on my lady parts three years ago at a medi-spa, though. But I haven’t specifically looked into them anytime recently (past 8 months or so) so I can’t speak specifically about the one you’re currently considering. I’ve never done at home laser hair removal, and from my understanding when I last looked into the ones on the market, they’re not really meant for darker skin types. I’m not sure about my MAC shade, but in Nars radiant longwear foundation I’m New Caledonia and anywhere between Fenty 420-450. If you used in-salon, or physician hair removal, what type did you use (IPL, electrolysis-not laser I know, ND:Yag, diode, etc)? How many sessions did it take? How much did it cost per session and what area was it for (full body, arms only, face only)? How long was it before you saw results?Įdit: sorry for the super long response □ I posted a TL DR at the bottom. Which device did you use? What's your skin tone? How coarse is your hair? Did it leave burns/scars/hyperpigmentation? How long did you use it for? (How many sessions on one area did it take to see results?) In Canada, Silk'N seems to be the most advertised line, has anyone tried this or any other at-home laser product? I've seen threads with people talking about their at-home lasers but WHICH ONE? Ideally, I want something that can be done at home, and will have results if used consistently long term, and will be safe to use on my face. Which is why I'm asking this community for help! So I'm definitely not the ideal candidate for laser (light skin, dark hair). I'm NC43, Aruba in NARS radiant longwear. I'm sure if I invest this much time, energy and money into laser, I'd get much better results. I know there's going to be "society's expectation" etc etc, but I just can't be confident wearing skirts with my hairiness. So yeah, HALP.Īnd this isn't for anyone else but me. It's gotten to the point where I have anxiety about upcoming date nights because I'd have to. Threading/plucking on my eyebrows, wax for upper lip, epilator or shaving on my legs, small shaver for my entire face, hair removal cream on the rest of my body, like I'M JUST DONE. My longer than a decade struggle with hair has me completely defeated and I just can't cope with how many methods of hair removal I deal with every month.
